Non-secure tenancies

Non-secure tenancies or licences are used for temporary housing arrangements.

This may include:

• Emergency or temporary accommodation provided while a homelessness application is being assessed.
• Temporary accommodation for tenants who need to move out of their home while major works are carried out.

Non-secure tenancies do not provide the same rights as secure tenancies because the accommodation is intended to be temporary.
