Solihull Community Housing (SCH) and Solihull Council are bringing together a collection of services to help people stay safe and live independently in their homes.

This new service will be known as Solihull Independent Living Service (SILS).

SILS will help residents, especially older adults and people with disabilities, to stay living safely at home for longer, maintaining their independence and quality of life through tailored support and practical solutions.

SCH manage the following services that form SILS. This includes our Safe and Sound offer, Handyperson Home Support Service and home adaptations (including major adaptations and minor works).

SILS will involve or include services provided by Solihull Council, such as Housing Occupational Therapy and Technology Enabled Care.

By bringing these together, we can respond better to residents’ needs and provide a more cost-effective service.

If you would like more information or to enquire about Solihull Independent Living Service, please call us on 0121 717 1517 or email SILS@solihull.gov.uk.
