Solihull Independent Living Service (SILS) is a collection of services to help you remain independent, safe and happy in your own home.

SILS is funded by Solihull Council and provided by both Solihull Community Housing and the Council.

What services are available

The following services are available through SILS:
Safe and Sound (pendant alarm)
Handyperson Home Support Service (practical support such as small repairs and home improvements)
Aids and Adaptations (e.g. grab rails, half steps, stairlifts, level access showers)
Technology Enabled Care (assistive technology)

These services have been created to help residents, especially older adults and people with disabilities, to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Technology Enabled Care

Home adaptations that can support you to use your home more independently, easier, and safely.

Home Hazard Safety Checks

We offer a free visit to make sure your home is as safe as possible, for example reducing the risk of falls.
