If you have something that needs repairing (and it is not an emergency) you can report it by:
- phoning 0121 717 1515
- sending a text message to 07781 474 722
- fill in our online form
- writing to us
- calling in to a Solihull Connect office.
When we are closed calls are automatically diverted to our out-of-hours call handling service.
Emergency repairs
If you have an emergency outside of office hours please call 0121 717 1515 and you will automatically be transferred to our out-of-hours service. Our out-of-hours service will only respond to emergencies.
What is an emergency?
An emergency is an unexpected event that demands immediate action. We define it as a situation which, if not dealt with before the start of the next period of working hours, would:
- put people in danger
- make a property unsafe or insecure
- cause damage to the property or make existing damage worse
- create unreasonable risk, suffering or difficulty.
Appointments
We book appointments for an increasing number of repairs. If we are sending someone to inspect your repair, we will book an appointment so that you know when they will be calling. If you need to change an appointment please let us know immediately. If you are not at home for an appointment, your repair will be cancelled and you will have to report it again.
Repair receipts
When you report a repair to us we will send you a repair receipt. This receipt includes details of your repair, the date of any appointments we have made with you and the date we are aiming to finish the repair.
