What is disrepair?

Disrepair can refer to a number of issues relating to the maintenance of a property.

If we don’t meet our obligations to keep your home safe and in a state of repair, it could mean that your property is in disrepair. This could include things such as:

– not completing repairs we’re responsible for in a reasonable time

– the structure and exterior of your property is damaged or faulty (including drains, gutters and any external pipes)

– all installations in your property for the supply of water, gas and electricity and for sanitation are working (this includes basins, sinks, baths and sanitary conveniences).
