Claims Management Companies work on targeting social housing tenants. They use convincing tactics that encourage tenants to make a claim for disrepair against their landlord.

They will sell your claim to a Solicitor who acts as a middle man between you and your landlord (in this case, us), and handles the claim on your behalf, for a significant cost.

Any agreement with these companies can put you at financial risk.

To gain access to your home or to speak to you, they will often say they are from ‘the housing’ or working on behalf of Solihull Community Housing and are there to complete a survey on the property. 

Please remember that all our employees and contractors wear Solihull Community Housing branded identification badges. Make sure you ask to see ID before letting them into your home.

If you’re unsure who someone is and you feel unsafe, please do not let them into your home and call the police immediately and then let us know.
