Find out more about our Tenant Conference and the feedback we received from you!
The Tenant Conference in October at Connections investigating how we can implement these, Church in Kingshurst proved to be a big success. The day featured a lively session on the next SCH Delivery Plan, with residents sharing their views on what it should include. There was a great opportunity for feedback and discussion, with a Q&A forum, and four different workshops. You said that you would prefer to be referred to as ‘residents’, rather than ‘tenants’ or ‘customers’.
Mental Health and Inclusive Services Register
Feedback from the conference sessions is being shared with senior management at SCH.
- Support staff so that they are empowered to deliver good quality support to residents with poor mental health.
- Strengthen the support for carers.
- Upskill and train volunteers to run group drop-ins.
- The Inclusive Services Register will be changed to incorporate suggestions made.
- We will regularly publicise the ISR form.
- The current SCHAPE Panel review includes recommendations from your suggestions that will look at how we can add additional resource into the organisation to support mental health activities.
Cost of Living
- Promote all types of help available so that residents will know what support is available to them.
- Identify residents who are more vulnerable to offer help and advice.
- Promote Solihull Council’s Here2Help online tool.
- Give energy efficiency advice.
Antisocial Behaviour
All of your feedback will be shared with our partners at the next meeting about ASB.
- West Midlands Police and SCH to find mechanisms to increase under reporting and provide clarity on what ‘ASB’ is.
- Provide consistency in website information for SCH/SMBC/WMP on reporting and tackling ASB.
- Ensure reporting routes are accessible through a variety of channels and providers and widely communicated throughout the borough.
Building Safety
Thank you for your comments and feedback. This will be fed into the ongoing work about building safety. This will help us to develop building safety agreements and processes.
Your feedback suggested that building safety is relevant to all residents, not just those living in high rise blocks, to ensure that you can stay safe in your home. We will therefore develop agreements for everyone, not just high-rise blocks.
