Bathroom upgrades are carried out by our appointed contractor Berben Building Services Limited.
A standard bathroom upgrade includes:
- New bath with mixer shower, including rail and curtain
- New wash hand basin
- New WC (toilet)
- Wall tiling
- Non-slip floor covering
- Lighting
- Extractor fan
- Decoration on completion
Shower Rooms
Where there is an existing level access shower or shower tray installed, if the need for this type of installation still exists, the upgrade will be like-for-like.
Bungalows
Generally a level access shower will be installed as standard.
The Bathroom Upgrade Programme is developed from information collected from the Stock Condition Surveys.
If your address is included on the Bathroom Upgrade Programme, we will:
- Contact you to let you know you are on the programme
- Survey your existing bathroom to review the layout and take measurements
- Discuss whether you have any specific needs we need to take into consideration. This will include a review of any mobility issues which may impact the bathroom specification, e.g. the need for grab rails, or for a shower instead of a bath; and may include a referral to Solihull Council’s One Front Door service for a bathing assessment.
- Arrange a date to undertake the work
- Carry out the work
- Ask you to complete a customer feedback form
