We are grateful for all the hard work and support our Virtual Improvement Panel (VIP) continue to provide us.
Some of the ways the Panel got involved with us during 2023 includes:
- Out Of Hours service review – we had a great response to this. VIP’s comments and feedback helped us to draw up the service requirements when the existing contract was coming to an end.
- Estate walkabouts – thank you to everyone who joined us on our monthly walkabouts. You helped us identify issues that are of concern to you and your neighbours which we have been able to deal with.
- Newsletter – the Panel suggested we include more articles about the housing register, information about community activity, human interest stories, employment & skills information as well as fire safety.
- Engagement Framework Review – the feedback VIP provided us helped to shape the new engagement framework which is now live on our Getting Involved page.
- My SCH Account – VIP’s comments are helping us to understand what works well and what doesn’t so we can continue to develop this service.
- New home high rise leaflet – VIP’s views helped us to make some adjustments to the leaflet. The Panel also suggested other information that could be included. We are now using the amended leaflet.
- Accessing complaints on our website – the positive feedback received confirmed that the information is easy to find, and VIP are happy with how we provide this information.
We also received a number of comments and suggestions from the Panel. Here are a few examples:
- The Panel asked us to send customers useful information as well as surveys. For example, we sent information about the Here2Help pages on Solihull Council’s website that could be of help during the cost of living crisis.
- We try where possible to set surveys out as a form in which customers can enter their replies. Sometimes we aren’t able to do this, especially if we need to include a document for you to look at. We can adapt things most of the time, so please let us know if you need a different format.
