Solihull Community Housing (SCH) is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) created by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to manage their housing stock.
Richard Hyde was appointed Chair of the Board in September 2018. Richard was born in Solihull and has run a local business for over 25 years. His grandfather, Bertie Hyde was a well-known Solihull Councillor and Friend of the Hospital.
Louise joined the Board in September 2016. Louise has been a tenant since 2004 living in a high rise flat for the first 12 years. Louise works in a local school as a Teaching Assistant and previously worked in a hospital as an Assistant Practitioner in radiography. Louise is also the Board Champion for Customer Engagement.
April is a SCH tenant and joined the Board in March 2021. April is a member of the Housing Operations Committee. April is married with two grown up daughters. She has lived in Chelmsley Wood for many years.
Susan joined the Board in June 2024.
Cllr Donnelly has previously been a member of the SCHape Panel.
Cllr Sleigh represents Bickenhill ward. She is the chair of the council’s Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Board.
Cllr Pinwell represents Knowle Ward and joined the Board in May 2021. He took early retirement from a career in the telecoms industry and subsequently had frequent dealings with SCH colleagues on behalf of the local charity, Colebridge Trust, before becoming a councillor.
Paul is a highly experienced Governance, Regulation and Compliance Manager, with over 20 years in strategic management. He works at a senior level in social housing as a senior manager and as a non-executive Board member. Paul is also Governance Manager with a large Staffordshire and Shropshire-based housing association.
Mani has been part of the Audit Committee for a Housing Association in Bristol. She holds a risk qualification with the Institute of Risk Management.
Lynsey joined the SCH Board in June 2024. She has worked in local government and housing roles for over 15 years, holding senior positions at some of the largest housing organisations including The Guinness Partnership and Sanctuary Housing Association. Lynsey is currently Director of Asset Strategy and Delivery for The Riverside Group.
