Solihull Council, on your behalf, arranges the buildings insurance cover of your property. This insurance represents the full rebuilding costs of your building.
You are obligated to pay this as one of the conditions of your lease agreement and the annual premium forms part of your service charge.
It is your responsibility to make an insurance claim if you believe that any maintenance charges should be covered by the policy.
You will need to arrange your own contents insurance for your household contents/personal belongings.
Building insurance is provided by Avid Insurance. Avid Insurance use a management company called Quest Gates who handle the claims.
