Our highly trained team have the combined skills of an Occupational Therapy Assistant and Support Worker. If the ‘Trusted Assessors’ recommend some work is carried out to remove these hazards this can be done through the Wellbeing Handyperson Service. If any essential work is necessary to make the home safer we can arrange for this to be carried out within four day of our visit.
‘I tripped over the carpet and had to spend some time in hospital. I was worried about going home as I was unsteady on my feet. When I returned home I unfortunately fell over again. My doctor contacted the Wellbeing service to see if they could help me. A very helpful Wellbeing Officer came to my home and was able to arrange to have my carpet refitted, they even had some grab rails fitted to my front door so it was easier for me to get over the step. Since the work was carried out I feel much safer at home and have not fallen since.’ …Molly, 65, Kingshurst
