We have pledged our support for Gas Safety Week. We will be using our social media platforms, website and newsletter to raise awareness about the importance of gas safety.

Gas Safety Week, which starts on 13 September, is a campaign to make the public aware of the dangers of poorly-maintained gas appliances. Faulty appliances can potentially cause gas leaks, fires or carbon monoxide poisoning.

The safety of tenants and their homes is our key focus.

By law, all landlords must carry out an annual heating service and safety inspection. We provide a service to all tenants who legally must allow our trained engineers into their home to complete the safety inspection and repair any faults.

All of the engineers we work with are on the Gas Safety Register. Electrical safety checks are also carried out.

Our chief executive Fiona Hughes said: “We are pleased to be supporting Gas Safety Week. This is an important campaign for social housing providers across the UK.

“Each year we get involved to remind our tenants how important their safety is to us and why our processes are in place.

“We will continue to support this campaign and remind our tenants why their annual gas safety inspection is essential.”
