We are aware that there continues to be a lot of focus on the biomass heating system that supplies 23 of our high rise blocks. Many residents are concerned with the efficiency and operating costs of the system.

It featured on local media recently and was discussed at Full Council.  We would like to assure all our biomass customers that we are looking into all of the comments raised and take your concerns very seriously.

We would also like to thank those residents who are working hard to ensure that the resident voice is heard.

We fully acknowledge the concerns expressed and the urgency of the situation. We have been looking at the issues raised in depth; talks continue at a senior level at SCH and a number of options are being considered by the Board in the coming week.

We contacted biomass residents by letter last month and committed to provide a more detailed update at the end of February, which we will do.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, there is help available. Please visit the Here-2-Help pages at http://www.solihull.gov.uk/here2help
