Residents living in our extra care scheme in Chelmsley Wood have raised £470 for the Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull.
The money was raised at Saxon Court in Marlene Croft, where community engagement staff from the hospice paid a visit to talk about their work.
Residents at Saxon Court, dyed their hair pink for the occasion and took part in a prize draw.
A cheque for £470 was presented to Suzanne McArthur of Marie Curie Hospice by our Wellbeing Service Manager Tracey Moorby and residents’ activities coordinator, Jo Tysall.
Angela Miles, treasurer of the Saxon Court residents’ group, was also on hand to present the cheque.
Our Chief Executive Fiona Hughes, said: “Residents enjoy a great community spirit at Saxon Court and this always shines through with their fundraising activities.”
