It is your responsibility to insure your furniture, belongings and decorations against fire, theft, vandalism or water damage such as burst pipes.
Solihull Council makes it easy for you to insure your belongings under a special household contents insurance scheme for leaseholders and council tenants. The insurance is arranged with Allianz Insurance PLC.
Your cover will begin when you receive a letter and schedule confirming that you have been accepted on the scheme. The letter will give the start date and the amount you pay per week. If you fall behind with your rent your cover will stop.
