If you are an assured tenant of Solihull Community Housing, the Right to Acquire scheme could enable you to buy your home at a discount price. You must have been a tenant for a qualifying period before you can buy your home. If you first became a tenant before 18 January 2005 the qualifying period is two years. If you first became a tenant on or after that date, the qualifying period is five years.
Homes are sold with the discount calculated on the number of years you have held a public sector tenancy.
The scheme is open to virtually any assured tenant who can afford to buy.
