Court Manager appointed at Saxon Court

Solihull Community Housing has appointed a Court Manager for its brand new extra care housing development in Chelmsley Wood.

Mandy Hannigan will manage Saxon Court when the 51-unit development opens its doors for the first time later this year. Saxon Court will provide affordable quality housing for people aged over 55.

Mandy, who has worked in the care profession for more than 20 years, said: “Saxon Court is looking incredible and I just can’t wait for the first tenants to arrive. It’s going to be a wonderful place to live and work. I look forward to meeting visitors when our show flat opens in August.”

Saxon Court will include a number of important features that will enable people to retain their independence by living in a safe and secure environment. Professionally trained teams will be on hand to provide support tailored to individual needs.

Each apartment will have its own accessible ‘wetroom’ and fitted kitchen. The large communal ground floor area will be adapted to include:

  • Beauty therapy space
  • Hairdresser
  • Leisure activities
  • Coffee lounge
  • Wellbeing suite

Fiona Hughes, Chief Executive at SCH, said: “Many people just need a little support to be able to continue to live independently. Saxon Court will help meet that need and in Mandy we have someone with the perfect background to ensure it is a real success.”
