If you are threatened with homelessness, or you wish to discuss your housing options, you can
make an appointment to see a Housing Advisor, who will explain what options are available to you
and what your rights are under the law.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are homeless on the day, you do not need to make
an appointment. A duty housing advisor will be able to see you at the Chelmsley Wood area office
any week day throughout office opening hours, but you might have to wait depending on the demand
for the service.
If you cannot leave your home, please let us know and we will arrange for a housing advisor to
visit you. If you prefer, you can get advice over the phone on our duty line. Please phone 0121 717
1515 and ask to speak to the duty housing advisor. The housing advisor will explain what your
rights are under the law, and will look at ways in which you can remain in your home. If they
cannot help, they will refer you to another organisation.
