Climate change is a big long-term challenge we all face. We believe taking action to tackle
climate change is not just about responding to risks, but also identifying opportunities. The
action we take now and in the future will have a significant impact on the extent to which climate
change affects our customers and our services.
We are putting measures in place that will help us adapt as an organisation, and leading by
example by developing our own climate change plan. We believe we are the first arm's length
management organisation to produce a comprehensive climate change plan, which covers:
- Reducing the amount of carbon we produce
- Increasing energy efficiency in homes and other buildings
- Vehicles and transport
- Procurement
On Friday 29 February we held a
green day when our staff dressed in green to mark the special day and pledged to use less energy, fewer resources and recycle more
both at work and at home.
