Diversity agreement
Our commitment is underlined by a concordat (agreement) between a number of partner organisations
and us. We hope the agreement will promote equality and quality of life within the borough of
Solihull.
Equality Impact Assessments
All public bodies are required by law to carry
out Equality Impact Assessments (EIA).
An equality impact assessment systematically and thoroughly assesses policies and services to
see how they affect groups because of their race, disability or gender. Findings are then used to
redesign or develop services to meet the needs of each group.
We have completed full Equality Impact Assessments on the Allocations and Homelessness Services.
Accessible services
We have tried to make sure we are as accessible as
possible to customers.
We subscribe to Language Line, a phone interpretation service, and use Type Talk. These services
allow us to communicate with customers who do not speak English as a first language or who have
